Formal schooling is linked with faculties and coaching establishments; non-formal with group groups and different organizations; and informal covers what’s left, e.g. interactions with friends, family and work colleagues. Formal learning is intentional from the learner’s perspective, is often offered by an education or coaching institution, has particular structures (learning targets, specified studying time or studying support) and is often resulting in certification.
